Sitting in a Wal Mart parking lot in Mount Stirling, Kentucky.
Probably 100 miles or so east of Louisville, Ky. We are just off
I 64. Traveled most of today off the interstate roads. We
prefer the two lane roads to Interstate, that's where the sights
are. Anyhow, I think we'll head east tomorrow. We saw some
of the horse farms here in Kentucky. Obviously, someone has some
money invested. Many of the farms we passed had board fences
around them. Some of the farms had a stone fence about 3 feet
high instead, and then had an entrance that had stone pillars, with an
intercom system to communicate with the ranch. I am assuming they
are related to the horse racing industry. Anyhow, last night I
saw something really unique. Some one had taken a Pace Arrow
motor home about the size of ours, and painted it a dark gray, then
added some graphics on the side, just like some of the newer motor
homes. He was then pulling a white trailer that was about 30 feet
long, which was about the length of the motor home. Overall, the
unit was about 60 feet long. It was about 1:00 in the morning
when I saw it, and the parking lot was not extremely bright, but the
light that was there, provided a really neat view. The
different color on the motor home made it look like a completely
different unit. Didn't think that anyone else was spending any
money on the older units any more. Obviously, I was wrong.
Temperatures today ranged from about 70 to 84. Not bad for this
time of the year. Probably will end up in Virginia tomorrow
sometime, and by the way, we are back on eastern time. Outta here
for this evening. Later.
