Not
a whole lot to report today. Sherry and I took a 3 1/2 mile
walk/hike. This campground borders on Lake Whitney, which is at
the other end of the park. To get there, we walked from the
campsite down the road, past the other campsites, to where the road
ends, then followed a short trail to get to the lake. While
there, somebody on a boat came breezing by, and then turned and headed
back the same way he came. Below are a few pictures that I took
on our hike. Nothing earth shattering, but it was a nice walk
this morning. Temps today were in the high 90's, but the humidity
was under 30%. As much as we could, we walked in the shade of
some of the trees. If you look at the first picture, you will see
that the left side of the road is partially shaded, and it makes a big
difference walking in that, instead of walking in direct
sunlight. Anyhow, we are enjoying the Texas sunshine and of
course the overhead air conditioning even more. Time for bed, I
suppose. Later.
