Temperature hasn't changed much - standard 55 - 75. If you
don't like heat, this is the place for you. Unfortunately, land
prices around here are kinda outta sight, compared to what we are used
to. Saw some advertisements for 2 acres of land - no buildings,
for $179,000. 1/4 acre lots are going for $89,000. Many of
the advertisements started at about $400,000 and up with buildings on
the property. We hung out today waiting for Sherry to regain her
composure. Talked with the O's some and just took it easy
today. If all goes reasonably well, we will hit the road tomorrow
morning and head out.By the way, if you like fast food - then this is
not the place for you. A round trip to a town that has fast food
chains, will take about a minimum of 3 - 4 hours. I don't think
that I need it that badly, thank you very much. On the other hand
- the fast food bill will be pretty much non-existant. There are
restaurants within a 15 - 20 minute drive. Just a standard independant
restaurant. Oh well, life is more than food. If all goes
well, we will be updating the website Sunday night from a different
area of California - probably one that is hot instead of
comfortable. But, they will probably have fast
food.......... Later.
